Valentines Day 2011

Posting this a day early. Suffice to say I greatly dislike Valentines day because I feel it guilt men into spending money in order to prove their love, and it encourages women to judge their men based on how much they spend. Most of all I think it makes single people feel bad so yeah I really don't like it.

Master Copy Homework

Over 4 hours I spent on this only to have the faces turn out wonky. I'm going to put it away for tonight and fix the faces tomorrow or when I can focus again.

Everybody Cancan

Went to the art club drawing session. The theme was french can can dancer like from Toulouse Lautrec posters. Very much fun. Had a little much to drink though. Will only drink half a beer and eat some more next time. Weeee.

Are you feelin ok?

I'm not sure if I'm sick yet. There are some mildly serious indications that I maybe. I've been doing some good doodles. I'm proud that I've been practicing over the winter break and not being totally lazy. Poor Chris has been sick. He was really bad today. I brought him a sandwich and some hummus. Just wanted to post I didn't create this but I've saved this pic from postsecret. I've got to start back to school and when I'm feeling stressed with no free time I've got to remember this.

New Sketches

Thanks to Chris who gave me some great suggestions for cafe sketching I have greatly improved on drawing people quickly. Also I've been loving my Faber Castell brush pens. Sketches of my cat turn out great with these pens too.
